Mike Squier

"I truly believe God used drums to save my life."

Mike began playing drums at Seventeen. "I was into bad stuff, getting into trouble, drumming helped get me on a better path."

Mike played in different cover bands thru the late 80s and eventually ended up joining three piece power funk trio, Big Dog Neighborhood. "It was the early 90s and the Portsmouth music scene was it. There were record labels taking interest, the comradery amongst all the bands, it was great!" Big Dog went onto to play WHEB rock wars, and won the WUNH battle of the bands.

Around 92, Mike left the band and took off about 5 years after his son was born. Eventually, he picked up the sticks and started "Where are the Nine" with singer/guitarist Brian Correnti. "We played many coffeehouses, Church events, and Soulfest multiple times. We recorded two CDs, it was a great run." Most recently, Mike played with the Lisa Gallant Seal Band, opening for Switchfoot, needtobreathe and many others.

Most recently Mike has taken on the job of Drum Instructor for the Piscataqua Ranger Jr. Fife and Drum Corp. "I have been blessed to be able to do what I love. "RedGoneWhite is not just a band I play drums in.  I have invested more than that.  Creatively it is such an outlet for me.  I look forward to what lies ahead."
